NEW INDIVIDUAL PROJECT:

Student Name: Tucker C. (period 6)

Q1. How are html and javascript similar and different?

A: Javascript and html are simelar, because they both help people customide their own websites and they can sometimes funtion in the same way. They are different, because javascript's code is more complex than html's code, and they both have their own distinct format.

Q2. What are the benefits of using css in web design?

A:The benefits are that you can make pages look the same if you want, and if you wanted to change something on all of those pages, all you have to do is change it on your css page and it changes it on all of the pages. Also, using css is alot more organized and involves less typing. With css you only need to type the code on one page instead of writing it on all of the html pages that you want to have that change. If you have the code on one seperate page, that makes it alot more organized.

Q3. What can you do now that you couldn't do at the start of this course?

A: I definetly wouldnt have been able to figure out even how to start makeing a web page if it wasnt for this class. Also, I had no knowledge of the code or how to use it, but this class has taught me how. I also figured out how to put my page up on the internet FOR FREE. I also learned that there are alternatives to html (like css and javascript) which I had no knowledge of their existance before, let alone how to use them, but I learned how to do that in this class.

Q4. What was the most useful thing you learned from this course?

A. I think that the most useful thing that I learned from this class was the basic html page format and how to use html code. Without that basic format, none of the other web site making formats (like css) would work. Also, it was very simple and easy to get ahold of. Html code has basically everything that I need to know, while css and javascript get into more detail. Pretty much everything that I learned in this class was useful, and this class was perfect for what I intended to learn when I signed up for this class.

Q5. What was the most surprising thing you learned from this course?

A: The most surprising thing that I learned from this course was the alternate forms of code (like css) used to customize websites. I wasn't expecting to go into so much detail, but we did. I had no idea that those different types of code existed, and I learned that they did AND I learned how to use them.

Q6. How do you see your individual project evolving during the summer and beyond?

A: I'm sure that I am going to go to some of these places again, or visit new places, and when I do so, I will gain more knowledge that I can add to my page. Also, I might find different information or pictures on the internet to add to my page. I might make it accessable to my family and friends so they can add new information, or even new pages to it.

I would also like to mention that I made a small site at my house that is not up on the internet. The topic it is on is a new game comming out called __Assasin's Creed__. I put information about the game on it, put screenshots on it, put a fixed background on it, and I am in the process of placing videos of the game on my site, but right now they are just links to videos.

What are the most significant problems you face at this time? What will you do to meet these problems?

I face the problems of figuring out how to put background music on my site and how to put videos right on my sites, not just link to videos. I will search around on the internet to solve these problems and I will experiment with the code.

What materials or information do you need? How do you plan on getting these materials or information?

I may need information on these vacation spots, code to make the site, and pictures to put on the site. I will get these from google.
